Direct Mail Days - the platform for direct marketing
We are convinced that the future of envelopes and the success of the direct mailing segment are closely connected. Direct Mail is thus the driving force in the production of envelopes. After conducting two successful Events, W+D would once again like to invite you to this year´s Direct Mail Days.
The symposium will include presentations in English and German (translations vice versa provided via headphones) on industry trends, the advertising impact of physical mail, applications and creative ideas for and by advertising companies and marketeers for use with direct mail.
On both days, machine demonstrations will not only show you the latest features of our envelope, digital printing and inserting systems, but we will also produce live creative direct mail applications for you on these systems.
The event will be rounded off by an exhibition at which various international companies will inform you first-hand about the latest trends and products for the industry.
We will start our program on June 5 at noon with a snack. At the "Come together" on Wednesday evening at about 6 p.m. you may exchange information with visitors, exhibitors and W+D contacts while enjoying our culinary specials. The event will end on June 6 at about 2 p.m again with a snack.
As space will be limited, please apply via email to email@example.com or our contact form on the right.
Direct Mail Days 2018: successful event with 40 percent more visitors
From June 13-14, 2018, Winkler+Dünnebier GmbH (W+D) hosted the second Direct Mail Days in Neuwied, welcoming 40 percent more visitors than last year. 140 participants from 17 nations – many Eastern European and Asian countries, including Japan, among them for the first time – were excited with the event. W+D also announced the first sale of the new W+D Halm i-Jet digital printing machine for overprinting envelopes.
A total of seven excellent presentations full of facts and new ideas highlighted the enormous potential of high-quality cross-media direct mailings and their design potential. W+D machine systems on display also demonstrated the practical implementation possibilities of innovative applications for envelope finishing. Interest in the W+D machines was high.
The W+D 410 Easy Enveloper can emboss envelopes and delivers a high two-color print quality with an integrated flexo printing module ranging from sophisticated motifs to full-surface gradients. When overprinting finished envelopes, the latest W+D Halm i-Jet in four-color digital logo printing achieves excellent results and is ideal for variable print data. The W+D TIprint inkjet printing module can assign variable data of an insert on the connected inserting system W+D BB700 S2 to the recipient using a code and print the corresponding image and text features inline in four colors on the envelope, achieving very complex 1:1 personalization.
Direct Mail Days was also not short on networking. “Despite an extensive program, we have given our customers and exhibitors enough time to exchange ideas. So it was an extremely successful event for all sides, and we’ll certainly be holding it again next year,” says Frank Eichhorn, Managing Director of W+D.
In addition to FEPE, companies such as Stora Enso, Doneck Network, Eukalin, Henkel, Irplast, Multiplastics and UPM participated as sponsors.
